Adam Butler
Adam started working in radio in the deep south in the mid 80s, back in the days when vinyl was still spun. He moved to Auckland to join the Hauraki team in 1987…just in time for the stock market crash and the end of champagne Friday night drinks.
In 1991 he left Hauraki and free lanced for a couple of stations before joining KOOL 93 which eventually evolved into Solid Gold, a network around New Zealand.
He’s had a couple of jobs outside radio, but it has always been his real passion.
When not on the air-waves, you’ll find him on the ocean waves….his other passion and what he calls his “happy place”. Now if he could just find a way to broadcast from a boat his life would be complete.
